Madhapur, a village in Gujarat's Bhuj, is considered Asia's richest village with a population of around 32,000 people.

It’s  prosperity is attributed to the 65% NRI population, who deposit significant amounts in local banks and post offices. 

The village boasts 17 banks, and the deposits primarily come from NRI families living in African countries and other parts of the world. 

The continuous inflow of remittances has enabled the development of various facilities and institutions in the village.
